So I was inactive in blog right after I said I'll post more stuff. Uhh. Well, the good news is I'm gonna start posting stuff again. Yeah.

Heading Home

So I came to this conclusion that in order to improve in drawing skill, color, composition, or anything, the best way is to just keep doing it. A lot. So I'm gonna try to do any illustration, painting, character design or even quick sketches and post them everyday.

On the side note, I've been trying to come up with my thesis story. I have few ideas and concepts in mind, but it feels like walking in the dark.

Serpent Storyboard ver.

This is the storyboard version of serpent animatic from previous post. I noticed that in thumbnail, it's harder to read if there's too much details or having subtle value difference. Always think of values and simplicity.

Serpent's Story Animatic

Took me about 3 weeks to do it. It's based on a little section of the story of "The Circus of Dr. Lao", where the big serpent tells a guy story about him eating a little boy. It was really fun thinking about cool compositions. Not really happy about the voice actor (cough, me) but I learned a lot from this assignment. I'm really glad that I took Advance Compositions and Design class with Don.

Wizard of Oz- in Korea!

Character Design! Mashing up this famous story with different culture. I twisted the characters' look into oriental style. Han Bok, Hae-Tae, Yee Soon Shin, and Dol Ha-Ru-Bang, and many other stuff inspired.
